I have 'rogue text' appearing intermittently at the
cursor whenever I am typing in at least the following of
my programmes - Word, OE6 and IE5. The Win XP PC is 2
years old with Norton Anti-virus the 2003 which is
updated at least weekly and now does a daily scan . I
have also done 2 scans with online Panda. Although Panda
found and quarantined several infected file, this did not
solve the problem.

The 'rogue text' is all in English, mostly complete words
and phrases but never complete sentences. It looks like
packets from e-mails between others. I have nver seen
anything from

It is very irritating and inconvenient. Any ideas
anyone ? Help help .............. :-(

Unplug any microphones connected to your computer.

If that helps, your computer is running voice recognition software.

Hello Jon,

I have a couple of questions -

1. You said the online Panda scanner found several infected files, can you
tell me what viruses they were infected with? This may help us determine
if you are still being affected by these viruses even though the files were
quarantined.

2. Are you using a Wireless Keyboard and are there other users near you
who are using wireless keyboards? If there are it is possible you are
getting crosstalk between the two keyboards. I have experienced this
myself.

Best regards,
