We're trying to install WinXP on my friend's computer. It used to run on
Win98. Everything's been going fine, but now we've gotten a message that
runs as follows:

VIRUS-LIKE ACTIVITY: The application C:\WINDOWS\WINNT32\WINNT32.EXE is
attempting write to the boot record of drive C:.
What would you like to do?
[Stop] [Continue] [Exclude]

What does this mean? Can anyone tell us what we should do?
Thanks!

Uninstall your current antivirus program before attempting to upgrade
to Windows XP.

How to prepare to upgrade Windows 98 or Windows ME to Windows XP:

Go ahead and allow it. This is a BIOS anti-virus program that is a real
annoyance. If you don't hit continue, WinXP won't install.

Good luck!

This is just a warning that something is writing to the boot record.
You know that you are installing XP. XP must write to the boot
record in order to boot. [continue]
