I wonder if someone can help. When I'm using IE6 on my home PC which uses
Windows XP Home Edition there are certain websites where I can't view the
full content of certain pages. At work where I use IE6 with Windows XP
Professional I can see all content. The parts of pages I cannot see tend to
be buttons used to link to further pages. If I know the address of the page
I can go manualy but the buttons don't appear. Someone told me that this is
something to do with Java and that if I upgrade to Service PAck 2 it will
help. I have done this and am no further forward. I have checked all my
settings in IE6 to make sure that they match my office PC and this still
makes no difference. I wonder if anyone can help. I don't use Windows
Firewall instead I use Norton Internet Security and it's firewall in case
that may be relevant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First you need to be clearer about what is actually
happening; Are these buttons or links(just highlighted
words)? Do place holders show up instead of the button
and/or link? What type of Internet connection do you
have?
If you have truely gone through both the IE6 at work and
IE6 at home and replicate the settings then, with the
amount of info you gave and asuming you are using dial-up,
I would say the page doesn't completely load because it
times out from a slow connection.
You can also try downloading another browser like Opera or
Netscape (although with a slow connection I do not
recommend this) and see if you can see the buttons or
links then.

Good Luck!
