win XP, Have IE 6.0 but want SP1. wont let me

hey all, im trying to downloaded IE6 sp1. when use icon to install it says a
newer version is installed and not able to continue. I wanted to uninstall
IE but dont see it in my add/remove hardware. also I searched in regedit to
try to reinstall IE 6.0 but dont know where to enter
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed
Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383} into the modify page.
HELP!!!! thanks all!

1) What IE version number do you have? (6.00.2800.1106?)

2) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE: Read this before trying to modify the Registry:
