win xp gives "ntsf.sys is corrupted error"

Trying to install win xp on new hard drive. During file copying the install always stops and gives blue screen error btfs.sys is corrupted

Any help would be appreciated

Had the problem you are having with my upgrade. Had to fdisk making the active partition, and put fat32 on full drive using a boot floppy. Only after it had the fat32 format would WinXP install. The install then let me switch to NTFS file system and complete the OS install. Hope this works for you as well
