Win XP Defrag leaves files fragmented.

After repeatedly running DEFRAG the RED stripes remain in
their original position on the graphic display. The only
thing happening is the little white stripes get moved
around, with some being eliminated. The RED fragmented
files seem to go untouched.

How can I get a complete defrag in Windows XP? Thanks.

Try booting in safemode and then running defrag.
