I have two computers at home both run win XP-Pro one
finishes boot sequence in about 25 seconds. The
other, once you turn it on give a message of the memory
in the CPU (1Gig)then does a system check on the maching
looks for drive C and inspects the BIOS and gives all
these messages. After which the boot sequence is finished
and the log on screen comes on, all of these in aprox 60
to 70 seconds.
Why the diference in the log on procedure from one
machine to the other?
Is their a way to have this check done in the back ground
and just have the log on screen?
Your comments would be appreciated.

I was given this response "Look for a bios setting to
enable Silent Boot" but eithr cant find it or according to
ggogle this refers to the silent fan. Can someone give me
futher ilustrations as to what is the next step.

No, the one that boots in 25 seconds is Gatway and the
other 60/70 seconds is using a Gigabyte P4 2.8 mgz XP-Pro,
How would this differ?
