Is it possible to assign a path-name to a tape drive via windows (Win2K)?

Thanks, Tracey
The OpenQM database is supposed to be able to handle/interface tape drives
if they are assigned a path name.
I've never known windows to be able assign a pathname to tape drive like
*nix machines.
I think OpenQM is a port from the *nix environment to the dos/windows
environment.

No, it isn't. Tape drives require a stream-type interface which is
incompatible with the principles implemented for direct access devices.

Thanks!
BTW, Just out of wild curiosity, would it be possible if something akin to
CDROM drivers (the CDROM.SYS and [c:\mscdex.exe /d:mscd0001]) exsited?

Thanks, Tracey
