Win 98 to XP upgrade in dif language

I moved to Portugal and have a computer with win 98.It
had 98 se but had to reinstall and now it doesn´t. I now
want to upgrade to XP but the upgrade I have is in
portuguese and it won´t allow me to upgrade. Any help
will be appreciated.
