I just got this new computer with Vista. I received some e-mailed files witha
..bro suffix. (Broderbund) When I try to open the files I get the message
'order_form_2007.bro is not a valid Win 32 application'. What does this mean
in laymans terms and is there a fix?

http://filext.com/file-extension/bro

I would believe you need to have installed the Broderbund software that
created these files to read them. Vista doesn't read files, particular
software packages open them.

Contact whoever sent you the files to find out what software you need for
them.

Opening a .bro extension should not give you that message.

That message should only appear when a program tries to run on your
computer.

Are you sure the suffix is *actually* .bro, or is it really something
like .bro.com?

Do you know who sent you this e-mail, and if so, are you sure they
actually sent it to you?
