Will SP4 Replace IE 6?

Who told you SP4 has IE 5.0 in it? That is incorrect. It has IE 5.0 SP4 in
it. So no it will not replace IE 6 in your system. It won't update it
either. But if you install SP4 over your IE 6 installation you will never
be able to remove IE again if you needed to for any reason. You would have
to reinstall the operating system to fix any issues that may be IE related
and Explorer related since IE 6 tampers with Windows Explorer. The way to
do this is remove IE 6 back to what you had (most likely IE 5). Then
install SP4. Then reinstall IE 6.
