Having trouble getting my .psd files to display photo thumbnails
The display of PSD (and other file format) thumbnails in Windows Explorer in
XP (which I assume is the problem you are describing) was discontinued by
Adobe from Photoshop CS onwards.
Adobe says there is a bug in Microsoft's code where the display of
thumbnails in Windows Explorer puts you at risk of losing data.
There are workarounds to get it happening again but you do so at your own
risk:
