Windows XP will not recognize the CD-RW drive on my HP
laptop. It will consequently not burn or erase using the
installed software, which also cannot find the drive. A
different software was able to find it, but not Windows XP
itself. The drive is in perfect working order, in terms of
the hardware. Everything used to work properly until it
stopped for no apparent reason one day. Just to reiterate,
the drive DOES WORK,but it cannot be found. How can I fix
this?
