I was in a meeting yesterday and someone made a statement that MicroSof
would be doing-away-with Access sometime in the next 3 years...
don't understand why, but there are other things MS has done that
didn't understand either...

Does anybody have any knowledge to support or counter that claim?

Drdunit,

There is no evidence to support this idea, and it is plainly errant
nonsense.

This claim has been made routinely for the past ten years. It has been
false for the past ten years and it's false now. Microsoft is actively
working on the next release.

Rubbish. Windows and Office are MS's cash cows. And Access is
certainly part of that.

Now Jet, the database engine behind MDBs hasn't been updated much the
past few years. Otherwise MS is very hard at work on the new version.

I have spent many hours (work hours) searching for something on an M

thought. NOTHING!!!
