Wierd Setup Problem

Thanks, Mike. It appears something in the TCP/IP stack is
corrupted, because of the info at that site, plus
the "socket" error I get w/an "ipconfig /renew" The
solution at the link you posted would work, except, in
their infinite wisdom, Microsoft seems to have removed the
ability to re-install TCP/IP in XP. Does anyone out there
know how to do this in XP? I am trying to avoid a clean
install, and have been through the "repair" process twice.
