Why would messages send successfully but not appear in my "Sent" .

I send messages, they appear immediately in the Outbox, then disappear from
it, but don't show up in the Sent folder. The messages are received by
addressees. This problem has only recently appeared. Any suggestions as to
cause and what I can do to correct it?
 
Check to see if the Saves copies of sent items in the Sent Items folder is
checked. Tools>Options>Preferences Tab>E-mail Options button.
 
Thanks, Reb! Yes, I do have that option checked, but the messages I send
take forever to show up in the "Sent" folder.
 
It sounds like your email is a reply to an original email and it is going to
your orginally sent email location.

Go to Tools/options/email options/advance options and turn this off:

"In folders other than the inbox save replies with the original message."
