My best guess is that you have an error on the disk that chkdsk cannot
repair?
(I do not have much experience with chkdsk or defrag, I use Norton utilities
instead.)

The error is telling you that checkdisk is scheduled to run automatically on
C: drive when you reboot.

There are system files which are locked when Windows is running, so
checkdisk cannot use the /f (fix) option on that drive while Windows is
loaded. Defrag should run normally after Checkdisk is allowed to complete
when you reboot the computer.

Tahkns for the advice but that didn;t work. I restarted it numerous times,
and it still says the same thing.
