in xp or win2000 wks group policy can be implementation well and thereis no problem at all

thx for u help.

Hendra,

This is due to the fact that Group Policy applies to WIN2000 and WINXP only.
Neither WINNT 4.0 nor WIN9x understand GPOs. You will be stuck with using
poledit for those machines.

Cary,

If a user with an account on a Windows 2000 domain logs
on to a NT 4.0 computer with an acccount in a Windows NT
4.0 domain, which policy (system or group), if any, will
apply to the user?

Robert,

Let me repeat this: Group Policy is understood by WIN2000 and WINXP clients.
WINNT and WIN9x clients do not understand Group Policy. Thus, the only
policy that is going to be understood by a WINNT or WIN9x clients will be
that which is created with poledit.

Does that make things more clear?

Cary,

Thank you for the clarification.

Robert,

Just want to make sure that you understand the answer, though. Please do
not misunderstand me. I was not trying to cram an answer down your throat.
If you do not understand the answer then we can discuss it more.
