Why when I click on customize outlook today I can't see anything?

I know to customize outlook today I need to click on the customize outlook
today. When I do that, my computer acts like nothing ever happened. How do
I get to that screen?

You have indicated that Customize Outlook Today button does not work. This issue can often be resolved through the following Registry edit.

Change setting in registry key
========================
Quit Outlook

1. From the toolbar click Start, click Run, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
2. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Application Compatibility
3. Click the Edit menu, click New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type the following name for the new value:
Value name: outlook.exe
Data type: DWORD
Value data: 1
5. Restart Computer
6. Start Outlook.
