Why spellcheck changes to another language when doc is english?

Spell-check sometimes jumps into checking in FRENCH (mon dieu!). User was
just working on a document…it performed the first check in English but then
jumped to French…the word it picked up was the “Function†column heading from
form F-4138. She saved a copy of the blank form but it didn’t happen
again…just on my document.

Tools > Language > [] Detect language automatically.

(Remove the check mark.)
 
Tools > language > set language > uncheck 'automatically detect'
