Hi,

One of the IT guys at my company is recommending that we create a schedule
of rebooting our servers every 90-120 days. I am wondering if there is any
advantage to this. Especially on a server with the following:
P III 1.4G (Dual Processor)
1.5 GB RAM,
SCSI RAID 5
Windows 2000 Server Standard
SQL 2000 Standard.

The SQL on this server is heavily used 24 hours a day.

It would be great if someone could post a link to some additional
information.

Thank you

Our IT support company also recommand this to us. We use MS SBS with
similar hardware config. I guess this may help to clean up leaked memory
and locked up processes.
