When I'm trying to shutdown? Not enough memory? Any answer would be
appreciated. I have an 80gb disk, 512 gb memory, I do use photoshop
5le, might have too many windows open at times-internet explorer?

I did upgrade to IE7, I'm wondering if this was an issue, about
something missing in the upgrade or something from ie6 that didn't get
replaced. something from ie6 might still be there to affect ie7?

Thanks,

What exactly is the problem and when does it occur? You need to provide
some specific details. Review the below link an resubmit with more details.

Disable/Remove Windows Messenger
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_mess_disable.htm

Here's what happens:

After I've been on the computer for a while, whether I've been
browsing the web, copying photo files to cd or dvd (for backing up),
or whatever, when I press start, then turn off computer, then turn
off, I get a small window that comes up, sometimes it says ccApp
(could be ccApp.exe??) with the progress guage to show that process'
progress then after that it switches to show the msmgs.exe box with
progress guage (broken block-type line) then it will eventually say
not responding.

The ccApp operation doesn't always come up, mostly just the msmsgs.exe
message box. I did sign off of the win-messenger program as I rarely
use it, not so sure I want to remove it from my computer. Is there an
issue with windows messenger and ie7?

A couple of times (today) the capp message came up during the shutdown
then it just shut down on it's own, and once the msmsgs.exe box came
up but then it shut down okay. ??

I did recently "install" a Logitech optical mouse, I'd left my
Kensington at my brother's office (this is a laptop). I will get it
back, as it had no software that came with it (unlike this one....>:
(
This Logitech mouse has some kind of message feature that starts up
with the system, I should have never installed it but I have it
disabled in selective startup, along with 6 other items I don't want
to use up resources in startup. These are: ezprint (printer-it works
fine), iTunesHelper (don't use), BackWeb (Logitech msg feature),
jusched (Java logfile-it is the latest version), Adobe Reader, Epson
Status Monitor (don't really use that printer), HotSync Manager (palm
Pilot-I can enable as needed via shortcut in folder).

Thanks so far for the help...

CCapp is part of your Symantec a/v software. It shouldn't matter if
it's a little slow at shutting down. Remove Messenger, and reinstall if
you want to use it at a later date.
