why isn't my digital signature visible

When I sign a document with my digital signature, it is not visible. The
message on the title bar states signed, unverified. How do I make my digital
signature visible
 
It sounds like you want a digitized signature rather than a digital one. For
that you need to scan your signature as an image and insert it in the file.
It's useful to save the image as an AutoText entry for ease of insertion.
