Why is the format corrupted using Word 2003?

We're in the process of upgrading to Office 2003. I'm getting mega
complaints from people who have templates or doc's with text box's saying it
lost the format that they had using 97. Font styles changed and text boxes
covers text now. Is there a global fix so one wouldn't have to touch every
document or spreadsheet?

Thanks much,

Terry

Hi Terry

That is not what you would expect to see, so whatever the cause, it is
something local, not something inherent in Word 2003.

My first guess would be that some or all documents have ticked the box at
Tools > Templates and Add-ins > Automatically update document styles. For
some information about how that setting works, see

formatting?

Hope this helps.
