Hi
What I have done I don't know
but now the diskette-drive is turning whenever I boot
I have been into the bios to see the priority boot-sequence
which is 1:HD, 2:CD-ROM-drive, 3:diskette-drive
so why is the diskettedrive it "tested" ???

Erik

At bootup, all hardware devices are tested to still see if they are
present..

Unless you have a BIOS that allows this check to be turned off.
Some do. Something about "Floppy Seek at Boot" usually.

Agreed, but the default is to check for presence, and I don't think that the
OP would have entered BIOS to change anything.. no disrespect to the OP
intended.. :)
