I realize that's it still in beta, I just removed beta 3...IE 6 seems to be
at least 3X faster on my system.

Am I missing anything here?

And unfortunately, in the case of IE 6-, that six year old brat should have

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 and return to Internet Explorer 6 on
Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

a.. Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."
a.. Click "Add or Remove Programs."
a.. Scroll down to "Windows Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3", select it, and then
click "Change/Remove".
If you cannot find any Internet Explorer 7 entry in "Add or Remove
Programs", run
%windir%\ie7beta3\spuninst\spuninst.exe. (To do this, you need to have "view
hidden folders" enabled.)
