Why is Internet Explorer required for Device Manager to come up. All else in
OS seems to work that I need. Are there compnents I can add instead?

Hi Mark,

Actually component that contain Device Manager have dependency that you don't need to resolve.
You will have to ignore warnings or to make your component with "devmgmt.msc"
Also you will have to add Microsoft Management Console in your image.

My understanding was that it is the MMC which brings IE in configuration.

"Microsoft Management Console (MMC)" depends on "HTML Help Engine" which depends on "HTML Rendering Engine". The Engine, as you can
imagine, brings all the IE components (shdocvw, wininet, etc.) and IE itself.

:-)

I'm trying to remember what I was thinking about when I said that. Of course you are right.

Thanks,
Slobodan

I will have to go back thru my steps but I did have in place device manager,
devmgmt.msc and MMC. The device manager window popped up but so did a
message box telling me I needed ie 5.5.

Thanks for thje insight.
