Why is AutoComplete NOT automatically storing my addresses?

My AutoComplete is turned on. However it only randomly remembers some email
addresses (about 15% of them). Once these email addresses are stored, if I
use an email address which starts with the correct letter, but doesn't appear
on the list; it deletes all of the other addresses stored under that letter.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you!
 
Do you also have it selected in Outlook, Tools, options, preferences, email
options, advanced options? Check 'Suggest names......'
 
nk2 file

Outlook's nickname file (profile name.nk2) will house 1000 entries. Once this limit has been exceeded it will randomly begin knocking existing entires out.

There is a third party utility http://www.ingressor.com/ingressor.htm that will allow you to edit your NK2 file (which is housed in C:\\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\profile name.nk2).

Alternatively you can manually delete entries by doing the following:
