Why don't you guys have brains enough to include the vista groups on the world's NNTP servers?

It a pretty simple thing. I shouldn't have to log onto some lame ms
only server to have a discussion.

It's called being able to censor the group by pulling off anti MS posts.

They (Microsoft) do. Microsoft puts whatever groups they want on THEIR
server. Whether or not YOUR particular NNTP service picks up all of the
microsoft.public.* groups is THEIR choice. So stop bitching at
Microsoft and start bitching to YOUR newsgroups provider.

On Microsoft's NNTP server, and after resetting the newsgroups list to
ensure it was current, I entered "vista" and found 38 groups matched in
various languages. When I searched the Vista newsgroups on my ISP's
newsgroups server (contracted with Giganews), all of them are there,
too. So go complain to YOUR newsgroups provider. Microsoft doesn't own
all NNTP servers. DUH! Grow up! If YOUR provider doesn't include the
groups then that was their choice, not Microsoft's.

I use Microsoft's NNTP server because to use Giganews means I consume
some of my monthly quota for bandwidth. There is no quota on
Microsoft's server. Using Microsoft's server doesn't eat up my monthly
quota on my ISP's server. Of course, you never did bother to explain
what was "lame" about Microsoft's server so you're just some petulant
puerile ranting about not having it his way as though anyone owes you
anything. Go whine to your parents.

Yeah, someone that uses "(e-mail address removed)" for their Reply-To
value. Uh huh, like anyone is supposed to give a gnat's fart what he
wants.

Vista-specific newsgroups include:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_account
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.networking_sharing
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.performance_maintenance
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.security

All of the above are available via the MS newsserver (free; no subscriptions
or passwords).

No, dingledorf. I am not talking about a post not showing up there,
I am talking about the groups not showing up on the world's NNTP
servers. You do know the difference, right?

Screw you, dipshit. Most NNTP servers carry new groups that are
added throughout the world, so there is no reason for it not to have
them, and there is no reason I should have to harp on them in order
for them to start carrying them.

You're an idiot for paying for a news service which your ISP should
provide for you in the first place.

Looks like you are the stupid one here.

What's lame is exactly what I DID mention. The fact that I should NOT
have to log onto any news server other than the one my ISP runs.

Can you really be that clueless?

Sure. Like some lame, retarded ****tard that morphs people's posts
has any credence anywhere.

Your "aka" baby bullshit shows you for what you really are, dipshit.
You are nothing more than a stupid bat's turd.

if you ISP does not carry the ms news groups, then ask them to do so.
not all isp news servers do carry them.

Reread my post and this time read it slowly. As you have chosen to
resort to infantile insults, you will not get any more out of me.

If you want it, you pay for it. If your ISP's not providing msnews server,
then complain to them.

No shit, top posting Usenet retard. How is it you can be so stupid
about conventions and protocol?

This ain't Billy's e-mail.

And whether your ISP carries those groups on their server is up to
them, MS has nothing to do with that.

Can you?

This is *not* the way that Usenet works. Each server admin makes his
(or her) own decisions about which groups to carry. If whoever
administers the server you normally use has decided not to carry the
microsoft.public.vista.* groups, your argument is with him, not with
MS or with us.

you should pull that MassiveProng out of ur "a s s" as it is reflecting
badly on this end of the news reader!!!

You are doing your usual trolling for attention, anything to grab it, and
disrupt the flow. grow up!
