Why doesn't Serach work properly

Hi,

I have XP Pro and for some reason Search in Explorer does not work properly.

I enter in a file name or word and it does not find them. Quickly it
says there is no file yet I know they are there and can go to them.

I have not made any changes to options however something may have
changed my settings.

If you are searching for hidden or system files you may need to configure
options.

Also, make sure you have the correct drive selected to search in, you've
selected the advanced option to search in subfolders and you have permission
to access all folders.
