I tried to create a limited account in XP Home...it seems to be set up OK in
user accounts...but when I log-on, nothing happens. Are there secret steps
or something?

When you say "nothing happens" what do you mean? Presumably you get the
account showing on the welcome screen, you enter your password and then
what?

Hi

MS haven't got any 'secret steps' to anywhere!! Can you see the account in 'User Accounts'? If so what happens when you try to logon to that account after rebooting? Does the account have a password assigned to it? When logged onto XP, can you see the account if you use Winkey+L?

Yes, account shows in User Accounts. I didn't assign a password. When I
try to logon, it says "loading personal settings" for about ten seconds,
then screen returns to welcome screen with two account icons showing (my
admin account and the limited account).
