Why does Word ask for delete verification?

When I try to delete a paragraph, below the document in the left corner of my
screen i notice it says "Delete Block? No/(Yes)" I have to press y for it
to delete anything. Does anyone know how to disable this?
 
In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.
