why does the same document (not blank!) appear when I open Word?

My friend used to use my pc, and now when I open Word a document of his always comes up on my screen. I don't know how to get rid of it!! I have to delete everything before I can start on my own work. Please help me escape this aggravation!! thanks! Stephen in New York City
 
Try searching. There are other active topics with this question answered. Your normal.dot has been saved as his document.
