Why does Powerpoint 2002 freeze when i am copying a small table fr

I was sent, via email, a standard excel file with a small table contained in
it. I am running Office 2002 and when I try to copy a the table and past it
into powerpoint, the computer reacts as though it is frozen and does not
respond. If i leave it for a few minutes, It will eventually appear in the
slideshow. Does anyone know how to get arround this annoyance?
All help is appreciated.

Yes I am using NAV 2000 Corporate Edition on a Windows 2000 machine. We have
it implemented on our netwrok to be managed by our Server.

Thanks for that info. I suspect the NAV Office Plug-in is the culprit, then.
