why does outlook close when i click reply to all?

i am using outlook 2000 on windows 2000. when i open out look i and try to
read an email outlook crashes and then closes. i have the same problem when
i press the send/recieve button i have the same problem can antbody help me
because i have some very very very important emails awaiting to be read yet i
cannot access them

What is logged to the Event Viewer?
What is your built number? Help-> About
What account type are you using?
