When writing new mail Outlook does not autocomplete my addresses when I
start to write. This was possible in Outlook Express, and is also enabled
here, but it does not just happen...

Any suggestions?

It does, but only after you've sent to enough addresses to build up the
nickname cache.

Sue,

The sum total of one outgoing e-mail is all that is required to build an NK2
(autocomplete) file. Also, you might be interested to know that "deleting
them" through the conventional means of typing a few characters (between 1
and 3 depending on your version of OL) does not really remove it from the
NK2 file. The deleted names can continue to be stored, much like deleting a
record in MS Access. It's still there until you purge the DB file.
