Thanks Milly I have Symantec AV, I am not sure about its mail scanning
setting, I will look. I thought that is wasn't set. Also the other 30
computers that have the same set up and receive their emails from the
same POP3 server are all set up to check every 2 minutes but they don't
receive duplicates.

Change mail checking interval to 10 minutes, and do you have an AV set
to scan incoming/outgoing mail? If yes, disable the mail scanning
part.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
After furious head scratching, lenny asked:
| One computer that I work on keeps receiving the same email twice or 4
| times. Why is that? Cheers Lenny

| Outlook 2003, POP3 accounts. ADSL connection, check for emails every 2
| minutes.
