Why do I have trouble changing the style sheet of a paragraph of .

don't know if this is just an MS Word glitch, but sometimes when applying
style sheets to paragraphs of text, if something gets mistakenly applied,
when I try to apply the correct style sheet, it won't let me. I'm stuck with
the incorrect style sheet.
Is there a workaround or a patch for this?
