why do I have multiple listings in address book?

When I bought my new computer and switched from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003,
by personal address book was integrated with Contacts. Now my "Outlook
Address Book" has multiple listings for many people...anyone who was both in
my old PAB and in my old Contacts. How do I whittle the list down to one
listing per person, keep all of the Contact information and make sure the
correct email address is the one that is used when I select that contact?
