Hi,
I'm back again! Now I linked and copied files into a separate folder like
Sonia told me...now some of the songs work and some do not. I can't seem to
play music at all, I've even deleted and recreated the slide. Actually 2
slides will not play the songs that I insert. Yes they are copied into a
folder with my pres. What could I be doing????

Does the music play on your system? I can't tell because you originally wanted
to know about moving your presentation. If you mean that they don't play on
another system, did you move the sound files and the presentation, or just the
presentation?

You may have things out of sequence. The following has to be done sequentially.

1. Move all of your files into a common folder along with the presentation.
2. Open PowerPoint and open the presentation.
3. Select each of the sound icons and delete them.
4. Now, insert the music from its location in the common folder. Never insert
a sound file if it isn't in the common folder.
5. Set the sounds to play automatically or on mouse click.
6. Save your presentation.
7. Test the presentation.
8. If any of the sounds don't play, do you get a message? If so, what is the
message?
9. If no message, then go to Start > Run and type mplay32.exe if you are
running Windows 2000 or XP, or type mplayer.exe if you are running Windows 98 or
ME. Click OK.
10. In the player that appears, open each of your sound files and try to play
it by clicking on the Play icon.
11. Do they play?

I did everything. It worked before. I am doing all of this on my home
computer using Windows XP. I need this by Tues! I am doing a pres. for my
school's XMas program. This is an MP3 called Nuttin for Christmas that I
downloaded off of a music site Limewire.com. I know that it worked before.
I'm not too worried about the first slide as much as this one b/c this is the
one my Kindergarteners are perfoming!
You said do everthing sequentially...
if the other slides are ok, do I need to delete and redo those as well?
What about the graphics and clip art? do those need to be copied as well,
please say no!!!

You only need to correct the file that isn't working. Did you do steps 9-11 on
the file that doesn't work?

Then it should play in PowerPoint if inserted correctly. Is this the last music
file in the presentation? Have you set it to play automatically?
