When I create a new email message I can't see the words I am typing in the
body of the message. This happens about 60% of the time. Any ideas?

Because you are typing in the same color as the background?
Since you didn't specify any details we can only resort to wild guesses.

I was so frustrated I forgot to give more details. The background of the
email is white and I am using the Tahoma font in black.

Thanks for your help.

But you still don't provide any details?
Version of Outlook?
Word or Outlook as the email editor?
Which message format are you composing in?

I am using Outlook 2007, all updates installed. I use Outlook to compose and
edit messages. The format is HTML. This only happens when I click on "New"
email message. The typing in the "To" and "Subject" fields are visable. It
is when I go to the "body" area of the new message and begin typing that it
doesn't show. The cursor will move as I type, just can't see any letters.
