Why can't I open any GeoCities web sites?

Would anyone have any thoughts as to why I cannot view
any web sites hosted by GeoCities? I get an error box
stating that Internet Explorer cannot download the file.
I was able to visit Geo sites up until several months
ago. I run 3 online businesses and I'm finding this to be
a problem where reciprocal link exchanging and marketing
is concerned.

Could it be due to some weird browser setting or firewall?
