Why can't i edit data in data access page when i set a page's dis.

Why can't i edit data in data access page when i set a page's display to
viewing all records? it returns a message that says something like i cant
edit data when the page is processing. And the cursor will keep on beeping
and switching between the old field and the new field that i try to enter
data.

However, the data can be edited when i set it to a display one record view.
 
DAPs don't "see" individual records when you're in a control on the DAP
page -- this is different from subform or continuous forms view in Forms.
