Why can't I add an appointment unless I restart my computer?

Lately, when I use Outlook I get a message of "Could not save" any time I try
to add an appointment to the calendar. Also, my reminders for my existing
appointments are not functioning. The only way I can resolve this is to
reboot my entire system. However, it goes right back to having the same
issue after the system goes to sleep. Is there a solution or repair I can do
in order to resolve this?
 
You could try the /cleanviews and /cleanreminders switches - also, delete
the forms cache.
