Hi

By mentioning 'bill' I presume that you are referring to Bill Gates. If you don't want any popups, sort the problem out for yourself as MVP Sandi Hardmeier has - a little bit of testing doesn't hurt anyone:

Criticism is a cop out. If you can't understand the latest OS, perhaps you ought go back to basics - DRDos.

Bill has done something from day 1 when xp came out its called a firewall,
ya might want to look into it. Guess what its built into XP also wow...
So stop bitching and whining and learn how to use a computer or go back to
windows 3.11

I am having some what of the same problem...every time I
am on the computer pop ups come on for either endads.com,
destroyads.com, & byebyeads.com....Please how do you stop
these without paying the blackmail!

Hello, this is Bill.

Please do some googling on "Windows Messaging Service"
and how to disable it on your system. If you don't know
what I am talking about, please return your system to
whoever you purchased it from for a full refund and stick
to television.

Oh, and Bit your Quitchin'. It's annoying.

RUN A FIREWALL!!!!!! XP has one built-in or you can get some free ones
off the net. Hint: Search Google.com. type in free firewall. Jesus!! Pay
a couple hundred bucks for a computer yet you don't even try to learn
basic security measures.

Greetings --

This type of spam has become quite common over the past several
months, and unintentionally serves as a valid security "alert." It
demonstrates that you haven't been taking sufficient precautions while
connected to the Internet. Your data probably hasn't been compromised
by these specific advertisements, but if you're open to this exploit,
you may well be open to other threats, such as the Blaster Worm that
recently swept cross the Internet. Install and use a decent,
properly configured firewall. (Merely disabling the messenger
service, as some people recommend, only hides the symptom, and does
little or nothing to truly secure your machine.) And ignoring or just
"putting up with" the security gap represented by these messages is
particularly foolish.

Oh, and be especially wary of people who advise you to do nothing
more than disable the messenger service. Disabling the messenger
service, by itself, is a "head in the sand" approach to computer
security. The real problem is _not_ the messenger service pop-ups;
they're actually providing a useful, if annoying, service by acting as
a security alert. The true problem is the unsecured computer, and
you've been advised to merely turn off the warnings. How is this
helpful?
