Why cannot I not see the file name and path except in print previe

Just recently all my word documents only show me [filename, path] when I
enter auto text. It used to show me the actual path. It is present on
documents when I print them or view using print preview. How can I change
this back so that I can see it all the time, no matter what the view?
 
With only one document doing this open, press Alt-F9. This toggles from
field code display to field result display. Then save and close that
document and Word.
