Why are fonts missing in Word?

No fonts are in my Word program when I open it to write a letter. All the
fonts ARE IN Excel and Publisher however. I tired to go to fonts in settings
and install all of them. When I do it says they are already installed. Why
are they not accessabel from Word?
 
Click on Start | Control Panel | Printers. If the default
printer is None, Fax, or Generic/Text Only, then select a default
printer that is capable of printing fonts, and you will see more
font choices in Word.
