MICHAEL

Something is not right about all these posts.

Just about every single one these posts made
over the last few hours were made from the web
interface. Given that Windows Mail in Vista comes
with the Microsoft server already plugged in- I find
it highly unlikely that at least some of these posts would
not have been made from Windows Mail.

Hey Michael !! all I know is that I posted 4 different responses to reader's
problems on Saturday and they never showed up until about 15 minutes
ago...Go figure !!

Google has some interesting conspiracy theory videos,
featuring Lemuria and Atlantis and otherworldly beings
altering human DNA tens of thousands of years ago.

Barnhorst ducked out of this group when Vista went RTM.
Tens of millions of confused users posting was the spectre.
Either it's a statistical fluctuation or it's here to stay.

Vista.Games suddenly had about 10 new post. Which is pretty rare over there
(which is why I'm always over here in the General group, laying on the
couch, eating chips).

Also, I config'd my XP to use MSnews, instead of my ISP's news server, and I
have user posts there, but I just brought up Vista and some of the user post
are missing. Is there more than 1 msnews.Microsoft.com ?

I guess this is where we insert a clever and snide remark about Microsoft.

From midnight last evening till about 6:00 PM this evening there were far
fewer posts that normal. I am suspecting that there are problems with the
Microsoft servers again. The results may be a sort of catching up.

Now, if they would get rid of the Linux servers...................... (-:

Whilst browsing microsoft blogs over the last few days I came across a
couple of posts saying their forum server had been inundated with spam
and was temporarily locked down... perhaps the problem extended to their
mail server and having been corrected has now let all legitimate mail
through?

Actually, Colin was here until the beginning of February,
his last post was on the 8th of February. That was also
the last day he posted to windows.64bit.general.
I sent him an email... no reply. :-(

I've missed reading his posts. I hope
all is well with him.

I found far *more* posts here than usual today, so I suspect I, at
least, have been getting the catch-up. And the times of posts have been
all screwed up. In quite a few threads, I found replies posted at least
several minutes *before* the original post to which they were replying.
Really weird.

He's been absent from the VPC group for a long time too. Not like him

It got too busy to read all that was posted - he mentioned that.
I certainly enjoyed reading all the posts of his that I saw, and,
looking at the pattern Google shows, I expect to see his posts
again when Microsoft does the next new thing if I'm still around.

WRONG.. the problem is because they switched to windows longhorn server
2007... its the same quality as vista you see...

HEHEHE!!!
