How can I make a whitelist of people I want to pass my spam filters
without adding them to my contact list?

How can I make a filter that will add anyone sending an email with a
special keyword to my whitelist?

How can I automatically put people I send email to on the whitelist?

TIA

What version of Outlook do you have? In Outlook 2003, you can add anyone to
your safe lists.

I just applied the service pack to 2003. My question is...how can I
make a filter that adds emails with a keyword in the subject or body to
my safe senders list?

I would like to add anyone sending an email with "private" in the
subject line or body to my safe senders list. That way having to use a
keyword in any future emails would be unnecessary.

(e-mail address removed) Please leave this signature intact when replying
or put "Private" in the new subject line

How about creating a rule for that?

Select Rules and Alerts from the Tools menu. Click on New Rule. In the Rules
Wizard, make sure the "Start creating a rule form a template" radio button,
and under "Stay Organized" section, there is one to "Move messages with
specific words in the subject to a folder" that you could expound on to meet
your needs.

I don't know of any way to manipulate the Seafe Senders list via a rule.

Perhaps you want a commercial service like SpamCop (http://www.spamcop.net/
that allows you to approve any message you receive and, once approved, a
particular sender will always get through.

Sorry, but I am still not smart enough.

I have messages containing "keywords" moved to my "friends" folder.

How can I make Outlook recognize future emails as friends without using
"keywords?" (and without putting them in my contacts list)

You can add addresses to the safe senders list without adding them to your
Contacts folder.
