I have tried to turn the whiteboard function on in meesenger but it tells me
that I need to install it can someone please explain how I do this or if its
not a true statement is it a firewall configuration that needs to be
switched
any help would be great
Thank you

Greetings Kevin,

Are you trying to use the whiteboard in MSN Messenger 5.x or 6.x? If so, you'll need to have
Windows Messenger installed as well for this feature to work. To install Windows Messenger,
simply download it from here:

Hi everybody

I think I have a similar problem this side :
I'm running Win XP pro, no router& firewall desactivated
Both MSN 6.1 & Win Mess 4.7 installed & working with audio & video & games...
but, unable to run whiteboard, either in MSN mess or inWindows mess.
Whiteboard opens in a small window, seems to freeze and nothing more : no error...
I'm only able to close it & retry, but...

How could I fix that ?

Thanks for help

Hi Jonathan
When I try to start the white nothing happens when the other perso tries to
start it
they get a message saying I have declined the invite because i havnt got it
installed
I'm have windows xp pro with messenger 4.7
msn messenger 6.1
Norton firewall
and a 512 broadband connection

I hope this is enough information......

Kevin; Did I miss something? I have exactly the same problem, and would like an answer. Did you ever get this resolved? Let me know if you did, and thanks a million

Ken
Yes I did get a resolve the fault wasnt on me
It turned out that the other person had removed Windows Messenger
from his computer not understanding its implications.
Any way as luck happens he had to do a rebuild last week and now
all systems are back to normal.
I hope this points you in the right direction.....
It also resolvled my issue with remote access
as we couldnt connect with that either......
